The craft taking shape

My name is Darrell Armour. I live in Boorowa, NSW — a former sheep farmer and shearer whose change of life brought me to the woodworking industry, and with it, a deep passion for our native timbers. Particularly those that were once used to build this nation’s infrastructure.

One of my great joys is making boxes.

“Can you imagine the stories told around these timbers?”

I’m pleased and excited to have partnered with CAMA 3D to supply memorabilia boxes for Marilyn to personalise using her printing machine.

I have a great love for Australian hardwoods — especially those grown in our local area. They have beautiful grain and natural features, which I try to highlight in every piece I make.

Every box, handmade with love

Each box is handmade with love and passion, often using reclaimed timbers sourced from discarded piles — old bridge and railway timbers, cattle yards, shearing sheds, and slab huts now long disused. Anything suitable that I can get my hands on.

My timbers tell their own stories of hard work, passion, and love — now made into a box for you, one that reflects those same qualities.

From my end, custom making is a joy — so if you have an idea, please make enquiries through CAMA 3D.
